Adrastus Collection began its activities more than fourteen years ago, when the collector Javier Lumbreras and his wife, Lorena Pérez-Jácome, started gathering a group of artworks that reflected the best of the artistic creations from the dawn of the XXI century. Paintings, sculptures, mix media, videos and performances that at the same time emphasized the contradictions and diversity of artistic expressions from an era of globalization. With offices in Mexico and Miami and a half thousand works of art, Adrastus Collection plans to remodel the first Jesuit college founded by Saint Ignacio de Loyola in Arevalo, Spain. With more than 3000 m2, and enough ground possibilities to expand, the space will host the permanent collection through a vast curatorial program, as well as display temporary exhibitions from other institutions.
